Creative Leadership & Impact

A selection of the systems, workflows, and innovations I’ve led that improved performance, saved time, and brought meaningful change to creative operations.

Empowering Non-Technical Teams with a Scalable Website – Prince of Peace

The Problem:
Prince of Peace Church had an outdated, disjointed web presence. Multiple staff members had created separate, uncoordinated websites on various platforms because they couldn’t update the main site themselves. This led to inconsistent branding, broken communication, and confusion among churchgoers—some of whom didn’t even know these sites existed. Worse, their outdated hosting and site management setup was costing them money they didn’t need to spend.

My Solution:
I led a full website redesign and migration, building the new site on Squarespace—a platform that allowed staff to manage content themselves, without needing coding skills or a developer. I also created visual wireframes and conducted hands-on training with the team to ensure long-term sustainability.

Impact:

  • Eliminated need for multiple hosting and domain fees, saving the church thousands of dollars annually

  • Unified branding and improved communication with members

  • Empowered staff to update content independently

  • Increased site engagement and reduced confusion among churchgoers

Legacy Software to Modern Video Delivery – AHIMA

The Problem:
AHIMA’s previous motion designer worked exclusively in Flash, creating compatibility issues as Flash was phased out—especially on Apple devices. This limited the ability to share videos widely, hurting engagement with members and event attendees.

My Solution:
I demonstrated how I could replicate and modernize those animations using Adobe After Effects and export videos in standard formats like .mp4 and .mov, ensuring they could be played on virtually any device or platform. I also helped optimize the videos for email campaigns, social media, and digital displays.

Impact:

  • Increased reach and accessibility across devices and channels

  • Eliminated reliance on obsolete software

  • Enabled seamless integration of motion content in email campaigns, convention signage, and digital communications

  • Enhanced viewer experience with higher-quality animation and faster load times

From Blank Walls to a Studio-Grade Portrait System – USMEPCOM

The Problem:
Official portraits at USMEPCOM were taken in non-ideal locations—against blank walls or heavy auditorium drapes. Afterward, staff had to manually cut out each person in Photoshop and place them onto a templated background featuring the U.S. and USMEPCOM flags. This process was time-consuming, inconsistent, and particularly difficult with subjects who had complex hair or varied lighting.

My Solution:
converted an unused storage room into a fully functional photo studio, outfitted with professional lighting, backdrop systems, and upgraded Sony mirrorless cameras. I integrated a wireless shooting app that allowed me to:

  • Pose the subject

  • Preview the image in real-time without moving the camera or the person

  • Send the final shot instantly via email, right after the session

Because of the controlled environment and quality equipment, the photos required no background editing or retouching—saving hours of production time and delivering a polished, consistent look.

Impact:

  • Reduced turnaround time from 1 week to just minutes

  • Improved photo quality and brand consistency

  • Eliminated manual cut-and-paste workflows

  • Enhanced the experience for subjects, giving them immediate access to their portraits

  • Set a new standard for internal photo documentation across departments

Elevating Event Streaming at USMEPCOM Headquarters

The Problem:
At USMEPCOM Headquarters, important events like Town HallsChange of Command ceremonies, and Award Ceremonies were live-streamed using a basic, single-camera setup. The video quality was low, and the experience was limited and static—despite the events being broadcast to the Pentagon, Facebook, and all MEPS sites across the country.

My Solution:
I led the implementation of a three-camera livestreaming system using Mevo cameras and professional-grade equipment. The upgraded setup enabled:

  • Dynamic angle switching for more engaging broadcasts

  • Improved resolution, framing, and sound quality

  • Seamless livestreaming to FacebookMicrosoft Teams, and internal channels

  • More polished and professional events for both internal and external audiences

Impact:

  • Enhanced broadcast quality for national leadership events

  • Improved perception and engagement from viewers at all levels

  • Created a reproducible streaming model for future ceremonies and events

Standardizing Enlistment Ceremony Video Across MEPS Sites

The Problem:
At the individual MEPS (Military Entrance Processing Stations) across the country, oath of enlistment ceremonieswere being recorded informally—often on employees' personal phones. Video quality was inconsistent, and there was no standard system for capturing or sharing these important moments. During COVID restrictions, families were unable to attend, leaving many disconnected from this milestone event.

My Solution:
Once the HQ livestream system was successful, I worked with leadership to roll out a standardized video capture setupacross all MEPS locations. Each station received:

  • Mevo camera and iPad setup

  • Easy-to-use tools for livestreaming or uploading videos to platforms like Facebook

  • A consistent visual format, removing the need for personal devices

Impact:

  • Families could watch enlistment ceremonies in real time during COVID

  • Continued benefit post-COVID for families who couldn’t travel

  • Reduced reliance on informal or ad-hoc methods

  • Increased professionalism and emotional reach of each ceremony

  • Provided a standardized streaming solution nationwide
